Italian by heritage but born and raised in France, Emanuel Ungaro learned to sew from his father. But by his mid-20s, Ungaro was designing at the hallowed house of Cristobal Balenciaga before moving on to Courreges. In 1965, he launched his own boutique and label in Paris. Within a few decades, the line would be known across several continents and come to encompass menswear, accessories, and several fragrances. Ladies flocked to his door for the precision cut and body-skimming silhouettes he used to flatter most. Coffee table sized book. It measures 13 1/2" x 9 1/4". 256 pages LAVISHLY illustrated with photographs.
